High level conference FOOD 2030 Research and Innovation for Tomorrow's Nutrition and Food Systems - Brussels 12-13 October 2016

Organised by the European Commission DG for Research and Innovation, the conference will help frame the food and nutrition security challenge in Europe and also in a global context. The conference includes a number of pre-event workshops, on the 12th, and the exhibition "Food village" that can be visited until 13 October 3:00 pm.

The plenary of the FOOD2030 High Level Conference will take place on the 13th of October.

INDIGO Young Scientist Competition - Bioeconomy

Young Scientist Competition 2016 now open for applications!

The young scientist competition of the year is an initiative of the FP7 projects: INNO INDIGO and INDIGO POLICY. It was initiated in 2014 with the aim of giving young researchers from India and Europe a suitable podium to promote their research projects and ideas for cooperation (between India and Europe). The competition is open for Indian and European PhD students and early career researchers.

Lund Revisited 2015

On December 4, 2015, the Swedish Ministry of Education and Research, the Swedish Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation, the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) and the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems (VINNOVA) in co-operation with Lund University and the City of Lund organised the "Lund Revisited - Next steps in tackling societal challenges" conference.

ERA-MarineBiotech 2nd Call

The ERA-MarineBiotech announces the second transnational joint call for research projects related to “Biodiscovery - Bioactive molecules from the marine environment”.

Submissions of proposals will be in a one-step procedure: full proposals will be invited from 1 December 2015 and submission closes on 16 March 2016 (15:00 CET). Projects are expected to start in the beginning of 2017.

SCAR Foresight conference

On 8 October 2015 the European Commission, DG Research and Innovation in close cooperation with the Standing Committee on Agricultural Research (SCAR) organised a conference on "Sustainable Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in the Bioeconomy - A Challenge for Europe” in Brussels
